Umbrella Ella Ella Ella Ella

I saw something interesting today.

Whilst in a grocery store, I noticed one of the check-out chicks whispering and gesturing for a fellow staff member to look at a customer...

It was a drizzly day, and a lady had just walked into the store holding an umbrella above her head, but had neglected to realise that she no longer needed it indoors.  She browsed the delights of the bakery section, keeping that umbrella safely above her head, protecting her outfit from any sudden downpours from the ceiling vents.

All that noticed this peculiar sight were quite amused.  Even I had a giggle, but it soon turned to sadness as I realised that it was such a minor detail that this woman had forgotten, causing such socially dire consequences.

There are just so many tiny things that we can forget to do that can cause huge problems for us or to those around us.

Take these for example.  Slipping up on one of these relatively minor tasks can cause immense shame, embarrassment or hassle;
  • locking keys in the car
  • blowing your nose and leaving a snot or two behind
  • calling a midget 'midget'
...while much larger slip-ups in my mind, like these, are often gone unmentioned or are gotten over very quickly:
  • building Direct Factory Outlet mega-stores
  • telling your children that Fido was going away on a long, long holiday
  • wearing Crocs

Life's just not fair, is it.

Meanwhile, what do you think of this for an umbrella?

    I thought of the following..  Toilet paper stuck to the shoe, red/brown stains on white pants and calling your girlfriend mummy ( only girls calling boys  'papi' is Kool.   and the asian girl with the umbrella.. it looks like it might prevent some STDs....

    PLS  ...excuse my nastyness...

    Building DFOs and wearing Crocs!  Both are faux pas so terrible they should be crimes.

    That's a great umbrella!  Does it come without the little asian girl though.  I'm sure she could contort herself to fit in to umbrella stands but I just don't think I'd be able to carry her around.
